Players on the Rise

Lachlan Gale had a breakout season in 2021. He made his first Mortlock Shield side and also won the club's best & fairest award. The Saints are going to need players like Lachy to make further improvements to their game if they're going to be competitive in 2022.

Elijah Foster makes his senior debut for Eyre United (he played Senior Colts as well in 2021). Elijah developed nicely in the games he played in 2021, and he will be one to watch in 2022 as he develops further and takes the next steps with his game. Look out for him impacting more contest around the ground and utilising his endurance running. He should be an asset in the air as well as along the ground.

Raheem Betts makes a welcome return to Eyre United and is one of their 2016 Colts premiership players. He has gained a lot of strength and experience since then and will bring a competitive edge to their midfield. His silky skills and elusive running will be a feature.
