Great Flinders Football League
& Great Flinders Netball Association

United Yeelanna 2023 Snapshot

United Yeelanna have won 8 out of the last 10 GFFL A Grade premierships, taking on 5 of the 6 other clubs in the grand final since 2012.

In contrast to most other teams in the league, the reigning premiers only had 6 players under 30 in their grand final side. They'll need to develop their younger players if they're going to sustain their success. They'll be looking for improvement from the likes of Brayden Martin, Jaiden Agars & Jack Crettenden as well as managing their aging list.

Players on the Rise

Returning from injury – Casey Carr, Zac Glover

Brayden Martin – Has had a great pre-season. Super skillfull player whose pace around the ground is valuable. Last year he kicked 5 goals in a wet and windy game at Elliston. This year will play more time in the midfield.

Jed Murnane – Another younger lad who is looking at cementing his spot in the A grade this year. He has had a great pre-season and not shearing this year will allow him to get to more trainings throughout the year. Jed reads the ball well and is rarely beaten one on one.

Jaiden Agars – Played full back last season and played against the league’s best forwards. There will be opportunities to move across half-back and continue to develop his game. Jayden is super competitive and will be a tough match-up for opposition forwards each week.
