The United Yeelanna A grade side is looking to be incredibly versatile with a balance of experience and youth in 2023. Young guns Elsie Maddern, Maya Glover and Hallie Paull (Waybacks) have had a strong preseason playing women’s football in Port Lincoln and will bring match fitness, speed and agility to the side. Glover and Paull will be making their debut in A grade in their first season playing Senior Netball. Both are exciting young players to watch, and their skills will develop under the guidance of playing coach Alyssa Skinner.
Cassie Maxfield, Sarah Dyer, Kate Hancock and Tegan Modra will be missed on court this
season but the team welcomes back Holly Fiegert, Alyssa Skinner, Jas Francis and Sherie Watson who will balance the side with their playing experience and provide direction across the court. Key playing partnerships to watch will be Francis and Glover in defence and Skinner and youngster Abbee Cash in goals. The team will be focussing on continuing to
develop junior players with more consistent team play than the 2022 season. Alyssa is looking forward to seeing new combinations develop with plenty of options to trial this season and is aiming for a top 4 finish.
